5 STEPS TO AN AMAZING LIP LOOK!
Your eyes may be the window but lips are the front door to every interaction that we have, so we need to get them tight and right. If you want your first hello or your final goodbye to make a lasting impression, you’ll need a few lip tricks up your sleeve.
To create a truly memorable lip, it’s a must to first get into a lip skin care routine. What did I say? Yes, your lips needs its own care. Just follow my lead I won’t steer you wrong.
I’m going to take you on a journey to Lip Esteem’s best lip secrets for soft, beautiful lips not just for the holidays but for any day in 5 short steps!
Step 1: Exfoliate Regularly
Before you do anything else, get into a lip exfoliating routine. Our lips skin cells do not turn over every 28 days like rest of our skin, so it needs a bit of assistance in sluffing off its dead skin cell layers.
Lip Esteem’s pumice scrub called NO SCRUBS will buff away dullness and flakes. NO SCRUBS is an exfoliator yet at the same time is moisturizing.
How often should you use No Scrubs to exfoliate your lips? If your lips are prone to rough patches, exfoliate twice per week. For routine maintenance, once a week should be good. However, you know your lips so if you need it more often, scrub away! Just be a bit gentler.
Last but not least, use your No Scrubs however you want. I put it on and rub it around for a few minutes before wiping it off with a towel, some people put it on at night and remove it in the morning. You may just find your own way to use the product.
Step 2: Apply Lip Skin Care
Did you know that the skin on your lips is different from the skin on your face and body? Your lips have only a thin layer of skin to protect them from environmental elements and they don’t have sebaceous glands that the rest of our body has that creates moisture. With the combination of both of these factors, this can create fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area sometimes quicker than the rest of our body.
This is why we suggest wearing Make Me Invisible- Vitamin E Stick. If I am not wearing lipstick, I put Make Me Invisible on about three times a day. Your lips won’t look plump and healthy when they’re dry or flakey; So, get yourself Make Me Invisible.
Step 3: Prep Your Canvas
Have you ever wondered why your chosen lipstick color doesn’t look the same on your lips as it does in the tube? Well that is because many of us have lips that is darker than our skin. If this is the case then I have a trick for you! After your skincare routine, apply a flesh-toned foundation, pressed powder or concealer to your lips. This step completely neutralizes the tone of your lips, and intensifies any following lip color.
Step 4: Try Lip Liner
Lip Esteem’s Lip liner allows us to expand our lip line, instead of applying lip product ‘inside the box’. Use a shade that’s 1-2 shades darker than the lip product you are planning to apply. Go slightly above your natural lip line if you want a fuller looking lip and go directly on the line for a natural lip line. If you want your lips to look smaller, I would suggest you use the darkest lipliner you can without it looking unnatural. Lip Esteem has 6 lipliners ranging from a light-colored FLESH to a deep brown/black called COCOA. Apply your lipstick inside of the lines and smudge away!
Feel free to play around with this and see what works best for you.
Step 5: Go for Nude, Mauve Pink or Brown Lipstick
Choosing the right color is key to the illusion of plump, full lips. Dark colors will actually make lips smaller. Using shades like nude, pink, mauve or browns will actually enhance the size and shape of your lips. Give I Promise, Café Latte or Rondo Classic Matte lipsticks a try, or experiment with Down to Earth, Aurora or Sweet Tea Hemp Lacquer-gloss shades for the perfect kissable lips.
If you are a person that doesn’t like allot of color and prefer a gloss, try Lip Esteem’s Keep Shining Collection in Highstepper, Candyland and JET. This gloss is perfect for all ages.
And last but not least don’t forget that Lip Esteem LLC provides you with a wonderful plant based, cruelty free and gluten free lipstick and lip care option!
