About
Lip Esteem

Tameka Jones knows the impact a little bit of lipstick can make. It transforms. It raises heads up high. It turns a few heads too. She knows this because she’s seen it in her own life. And Tameka wants to spend her life helping others feel confident and beautiful.

Lip Esteem is her mission, her business, but really it’s her calling. Tameka knows the pressures put upon women to meet a certain standard of beauty. She remembers the painful childhood insults tossed her way for her full lips. She also understands that makeup and beauty can help women, like it did her, to re-write their story and take control of their lives like nothing else.

Tameka Jones is Lip Esteem personified. She’s overcome childhood trauma and the loss of an infant child, to emerge with a perspective that informs her business and literally colors every lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner in her collection. She likes to say she helps people feel good “one tube a time.” With more than 25 shades, the Lip Esteem look is plant-based, gluten free and cruelty free, but full of life and vibrancy.

After earning her Esthiology certification (the study of skin) at Saint Paul College, Tameka honed her craft as a makeup artist. Working with beauty clients gave her an up-close view of what looks good on various skin tones and lip profiles. It also gave her an idea. She wanted to start her own beauty line.

Enter Lip Esteem. Still a new cosmetic brand on the market, Lip Esteem has quickly become a viable business because of Tameka’s hustle (look for her at your local Farmer’s Market) and knowledge of her customers. Tameka has big plans. And you’ll see her coming. She’ll make sure of it.
